Encourage your children or grandchildren to start saving by setting up a Money Monster account with the Credit Union. Children between the ages of 0 and 16 that live within Glasgow or the ’G’ postcode area can join Glasgow Credit Union and have money paid into their accounts directly from an existing member’s payroll or Direct Debit
 As of the 1st of April 2010 Glasgow Credit Union will donate £1* to Yorkhill Children's Foundation for every new GCU Money Monster Account opened! Yorkhill Children's Foundation aims to provide all the extra services and pieces of equipment for sick children and babies from all over Scotland who are treated within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. From state of the art medical equipment to childrens entertainers, every project they fund helps make sick kids better.
Statements are sent once a year on the child’s birthday to let them see how their savings are growing.
Children get the choice of a great free gift of a piggy bank or a wallet when their account is opened.
